چکیده
OBJECTIVES To provide a systematic review of smoking prevention and cessation interventions that have been conducted with cancer survivors. DATA SOURCES Published research studies and government reports. CONCLUSION Although few interventions have been developed to improve smoking prevention and cessation rates in cancer survivors, existing studies suggest that it is possible to decrease tobacco use in this high-risk population. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING PRACTICE Oncology nurses are in a unique position to build on the current literature to address cancer survivors' tobacco use as part of clinical care.
